A source told Bella magazine that Eamonn is keen to show he wasn't the one who wanted their marriage to end, saying: "Eamonn doesn't want to look like he's the one to blame for the end of their marriage, so he doesn't want to be the one to take the ring off first." An informant revealed to The Sun on Sunday: "Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages. She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry."
Katie's former partner, Michael Devine, who asserts he met her when she was 19 and he was 59, shared with Mail Online that their now 22 year old son Ben informed him of the budding romance between Katie and Eamonn.
