Leeds United moved into the play-off picture with an emphatic win over fellow promotion hopefuls Watford with Daniel Farke's side sending a real statement of intent
There can be very little room for debate when it comes to Leeds United's best performance so far this season. The Whites blew Watford out of the water with a dominant display at Elland, but by Daniel Farke's own admission, he thinks the Hornets will be in the chasing pack for promotion come the end of the season.
The win over Watford made it four clean sheets on the bounce for Leeds, an early sign that Farke has found the answer to the Whites' defensive woes. In eight Championship games, Leeds have conceded seven goals, with three of those coming in the 4-3 win over Ipswich Town last month. For reference, Marcelo Bielsa's Championship winning side conceded 35 goals in the 2019/20 season. Bielsa ball may well be a thing of the past and the more pragmatic approach from Farke could stand them in good stead if they are to secure a return to the top flight.
