YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An East Cleveland man was sentenced Monday to at least 26 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to attacking and raping a deputy while he was being held in the Mahoning County jail.

Rondell Harris, 34, did not accept his sentencing quietly, though, going on a profanity-filled rant as he attempted to reject his plea bargain and fire his lawyer,. Mahoning County Judge Anthony D’Apolito urged Harris to take the plea deal, WKBN reports. “That’s the plea, that’s the offer, and that is what either you will accept today or you won’t,” D’Apolito said.
