The group will be offering drop in sessions as well as health walks.
Macmillan Cancer Support and East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure have teamed up to provide information and support to anyone in East Renfrewshire affected by cancer.The group will host drop-in services at Barrhead Foundry on Wednesdays from 10.30am to 12.30pm and Clarkston Library Friday 10.30am to 2.30pm.walks, which need to be booked in advance.Macmillan Volunteer Coordinator Vanessa Taylor said:"We’re here to help anyone affected by cancer.
"Our team of dedicated, trained volunteers provide a friendly listening ear in our Macmillan spaces at the Foundry and Clarkston Library. We refer and signpost to other sources of support in the local community and beyond, including financial advice, emotional or practical support. "Our drop-ins are informal and friendly, and we offer tea and coffee. There is no need to make an appointment. We also offer our Move More programme for people with a cancer diagnosis, with a gentle movement class, cancer-friendly walking groups and tailored exercise support."
