EastEnders fans are calling for one long-serving Albert Square character to be given the boot, after getting bogged down with his 'dreary' and 'depressing' storylines
EastEnders viewers are saying they want an iconic character to be axed from the show, after growing tired of his ‘depressing storylines'.
Currently played by Max Bowden, 28, who took up the role in 2019, the Albert Square resident has been through a long list of dramatic storylines from male rape to his ongoing battle with bulimia. Ben and Cal’s relationship has been on the rocks as Ben struggled with processing his rape, and of course, the loss of Lola Pearce, the mother of his child, to a brain tumour.
