EastEnders actor Derek Martin, who played the iconic character of Charlie Slater on the BBC One soap, has celebrated his 90th birthday.
The actor opted for a smart white shirt and navy jumper for his party, and he was all smiles as he tucked in to some strawberry slices while posing for photos. Another fan wrote: "My god he looks like how he did many years back. Doesn't look 90 at all! Happy Birthday Derek."While a fourth posted: "Happy birthday loved Charlie only watching him before on classic eastenders, xx."
The family patriarch was a cab driver who first came to Albert Square with his mother-in-law Mo Harris and his four daughters Lynne, Kat, Little Mo, and Zoe.
