EastEnders fans are starting to suspect that Reiss Colwell, played by Jonny Freeman, isn't all he seems after his latest money-making scheme. The character, who arrived in Albert Square in 2022 as a distant relative of the late Dot Cotton , quickly struck up a romance with Sonia Fowler .
This week, his financial troubles escalated when Debbie's care home demanded payment or threatened to remove her. On the same day, Sonia discovered she was pregnant, adding to their financial stress. But on Tuesday , Phil Mitchell became suspicious of Reiss' financial demands. After witnessing Reiss steal from both Debbie and Sharon, some EastEnders viewers are now convinced that he's not who he claims to be - but rather, a con artist.
