Health care ranks as the fourth top issue among voters in the Sun Belt, following the economy, criminal justice and the coronavirus pandemic.
The economy remains the most important issue for voters in North Carolina, Florida and Arizona.
Another 17 percent think criminal justice would be their key factor when casting a ballot, while 16 percent say the coronavirus pandemic would have the greatest impact on which candidate they vote for. Numbers across the three states are relatively stable in each top issue, except for race relations, which is twice as important to voters in North Carolina than in Florida. Among more than 1,000 participants from each state, 16 percent of North Carolinians say race relations is their top issue, compared with 8 percent of Floridians.
