has insisted Profit and Sustainability Rules must be “re-thought completely” after the comments of Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – claimed the promotion of selling young talent “is a shame, and it’s wrong”.
He insisted PSR rules are the “biggest obstacle” preventing the Magpies from progressing in the Premier League. Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh were sold before the 30 June deadline for accounts to be submitted for the 2023-24 campaign.
