Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson was saved from a red card after making a genuine attempt for the ball during Liverpool's penalty incident.
These missed opportunities came back to bite Pep Guardiola's side just after the break. Darwin Nunez burst into the City box and Ederson came out to greet him.However, the Brazilian was a fraction too late and wiped out the Liverpool forward for a clear penalty. Michael Oliver wasted little time handing Ederson a yellow card despite Virgil van Dijk's complaints that he should have been sent off.
