Pictures inside a Nottingham nightclub which still looks as it did when its doors closed years ago
There are remnants of nightclubs we have loved and lost across the city centre although very few are still standing in their entirety, acting as a time capsule. But glasses, bottles - and even a pair of shoes still remain at one former Nottingham venue.
Nottinghamshire Live was given exclusive access by the owners of the building which was once home to the former Breeze and Lost Weekend venues. Many may know the club by its other names including The house and Voodoo Lounge. There were also club nights such as Hotdog, Love Zoo and Peter Martine's successful Revolution held there over the years. Following the closure of Lost Weekend it was empty for about five years, before reopening on New Year's Eve, 2012, Breeze nightclub following a £200,000 refurbishment.
Brushing past the thick cobwebs and looking up, the disco ball is positioned above the dancefloor while the DJ box at the back still stands. Tickets from previous celebrations still litter the bar counter. The club had two floors although given that the dance floor and steps are warped from dampness, it wasn't safe to climb up. Although the famous balcony is still evident where you could watch the dancefloor while having a pint.
