School trips could be the highlight of the school year, and many of us visited some great destinations
Yorkshire is filled with brilliant places, from educational museums to beautiful natural spots, and many of us may remember visiting some of these with our schools.
Whatever the reason, here are some of the school trips many people in Yorkshire will remember going on. History can often seem far removed, but being able to see real history up close is a great experience for children of all ages, and Fountains Abbey is one of the best places to see a part of England which has long since passed into history.
However, nothing's better than seeing it up close and sometimes school trips make visits to the area. While it can be a little strange to stand outside someone's house, discussing the way the buildings were constructed, its a fun experience to see it for yourself, rather than just learn about it from a book.
