A motive has not been determined yet for the Wednesday night shooting of an El Sobrante man in Oakland’s Uptown district.
OAKKLAND — A 45-year-old El Sobrante man was shot multiple times Wednesday night in the Uptown district, authorities said.The shooting was reported about 9:56 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of 24th Street.
The man was shot by another man who fled before police got to the scene. At least a half-dozen shell casings were recovered, police said. Police have not said why the man was in Oakland or what motivated the shooting. No arrests have been made. Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.
