While it’s exactly the decision that the conservative-leaning Supreme Court was expected to make this coming June, it is no less chilling to see it come to fruition
Photo: Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images On Monday night, a draft decision of the imminent Supreme Court ruling on Mississippi’s 15-week-abortion ban leaked, indicating that justices had privately voted in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade, which protects the right to end a pregnancy up until fetal viability. . Protesters gathered outside the Supreme Court within hours, and they were joined by bigger crowds Tuesday morning.
It’s nice to know at least one politician is feeling as gutted by this decision as I am. If you’re feeling similarly enraged, now is as dismal a time as any to channel your horror into abortion funds, particularly those in states with trigger laws that will cut off or drastically limit access to abortion as soon as the Supreme Court decision goes into effect.
