Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign page on Facebook ran an ad that intentionally lied, trolling the company on its very own platform.

Warren’s ad purposely attacked the social media company’s policy that exempts politicians from third-party fact checking. The senator criticized Facebook, while also trying to garner support for her campaign. “If Trump tries to lie in a TV ad, most networks will refuse to air it. But Facebook just cashes Trump’s checks. Facebook already helped elect Donald Trump once. Now, they’re deliberately allowing a candidate to intentionally lie to the American people.
Some question Warren’s tactic, in light of questions over her own disputed claims—like her descending from Native American ancestry and being fired because she was pregnant. However, her pressure on Facebook adds to further scrutiny of the company.
