Ellie is tested by the Fireflies in a new The Last Of Us episode 1 clip.
A newly released clip from The Last of Us episode 1 shows the Fireflies testing Ellie. Game of Thrones star, Bella Ramsey, stars as Ellie, a 14-year-old orphan in the upcoming zombie-horror television series. Based on the critically-acclaimed 2013 PlayStation 3 video game of the same name, The Last of Us centers on hardened black market smuggler Joel Miller as he escorts Ellie across a post-apocalyptic United States to a revolutionary faction known as the Fireflies.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY Prior to Ramsey's interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host shared a clip from HBO's upcoming adaptation that features Ellie chained to a wall as she is being tested by members of the Fireflies. However, Ellie remains utterly defiant with her captors, giving them the finger to prove her cognizance. The clip provides a glimpse into the strong protagonist The Last of Us will show will Ramsey's portrayal of Ellie.What The Last of Us Changes From the Original Game Throughout the production of The Last of Us the series creators, Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, both reassured longtime fans that the adaptation will remain faithful to the source material.
Druckmann, who also served as the writer and creative director for The Last of Us video game, revealed that cut content from the original story was inserted into the HBO series. In addition, Mazin teased that a new type of infected stage was created specifically for the adaptation. However, he also shared that the manner of the fungal infection was changed significantly from the game, removing spores entirely.
What The Last of Us Keeps the Same Early set photos and videos boasted game-accurate production and costume design. Certain environments in the video game were brought to life in incredible detail. The Last of Us trailers also featured dialogue that was taken directly from the characters' in-game counterparts. With the show set to premiere this Sunday, audiences do not have to wait much longer to see if The Last of Us adaptation will honor the original beloved video game.
