The company said it was financially healthy, but needed to trim fat in order for its ambitious plans to ultimately succeed. "To continue delivering for our customers and to succeed in developing interplanetary spacecraft and a global space-based internet, SpaceX must become a leaner company," the company said in a statement Friday, according to Reuters. SpaceX launched a company record 21 missions in 2018, but is expected to launch fewer this year amid a slowdown in satellite-industry orders.
