Emmerdale bosses have teased an unexpected return at Christmas as the scenes prepare to be filmed. The festive season is often dramatic in Soapland and while it's not known if the arrival is a positive one, it is sure to be a surprise.
Iain revealed to The Sun: "This Christmas, there is a huge surprise arrival on Christmas Day. As well as some life or death jeopardy on Christmas Day but obviously there will be festive brilliance as we do every year but I think it is one of the most exciting Christmases that I can remember on Emmerdale this year!"He then went on to hint at even more carnage that would hit the Dales into the New Year.
Iain spoke out about the future plans after Emmerdale picked up the night's top prize for Serial Drama. The Leeds-based soap took home the gong after beating soap rivals Corrie, EastEnders and Hollyoaks.
