Emmerdale fans were left reeling on Friday night as Belle Dingle, portrayed by Eden Taylor-Draper, made a heart-wrenching departure from the village to attend a mental health crisis assessment centre. This followed a distressing storyline involving Tom King, played by James Chase.
However, Tom dismissed the significance of the day and manipulated Belle into staying home for a parcel delivery, supposedly due at 1pm, rather than joining her family for a commemorative picnic. The situation escalated when Tom blamed Belle for ruining the day and insulted her late mother Lisa, leading to Belle pushing him in anger, an act witnessed by the villagers.
Despite Lydia, Sam, and Cain's efforts to keep Tom away from Belle during her meeting, they were stunned to find Belle being taken to a mental health crisis assessment centre upon their return.
