Oliver Farnworth has joined Emmerdale as John Sugden
A new Emmerdale star has given an update on his famous partner’s health following her cancer diagnosis.
The couple first started dating in 2019, while working together in the West End on play The Girl On The Train, with Samantha, 51, being diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2022.During an interview with stand-in host Christmas Lampard, the Emmerdale newcomer assured fans Samantha is ‘doing incredibly well’. Blowing a kiss to her through the camera, Oliver said: "She's been so kind of strong and determined through it.
In an effort to raise awareness, Oliver emphasised the importance of attending routine checks and encouraged women to be vigilant for any signs at home. His girlfriend's cancer was fortunately detected as part of a routine check.
