Gwyneth Paltrow shared a new BTS image from Avengers: Endgame with Robert Downey Jr. after Iron Man's rescue from space.
A brand new Avengers: Endgame behind-the-scenes image shows Tony Stark and Pepper Potts after Iron Man's rescue from space. The second-year anniversary of the Joe and Anthony Russo-directed MCU flick is approaching, making fans nostalgic about it. Even before that, though, MCU followers get a fresh look at the movie thanks to Paltrow's latest social media post.
Marvel Studios' first romantic pairing was established in 2008 via Jon Favreau's Iron Man. Tony and Pepper's relationship wasn't a walk in the park - at one point, they even broke up because he couldn't give up his superhero stint as Iron Man. They eventually reconciled, though, and following Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War, they got married and had a kid in Morgan .
It's worth noting that in the film, Tony looked skinnier and frailer because he was digitally made to look that way, similar to how they shrunk Chris Evans for Captain America: The First Avenger. So here, Downey looks normal.
With Iron Man n0w dead after Avengers: Endgame, it will be interesting to see if Paltrow comes back to the MCU at any capacity moving forward. She's still running Stark Industries which is a massive corporate player in the MCU. The actress hasn't said anything about wanting to reprise the role, especially with Downey out of the franchise, but it doesn't mean that she is also closing the door to return.
