BIRMINGHAM – Trevon Kemmerlin scored on a fastbreak jumper in the lane with less than a second left to give the Enterprise a 66-64 victory over James Clemens in the Class AHSAA state championship at the BJCC Arena.
It’s the first state title in Enterprise boys history and eased some of the pain of losing last year’s state finals.
Tied at 64, James Clemens missed a 3-pointer and an inside shot. Enterprise’s Elijah Terry grabbed the rebound and threw an outlet pass downcourt to Kemmerlin as the Wildcats had a 3-on-1 fastbreak.
