Offtake arrangement comes with a collaboration to try firm up ex-China tungsten supply to the US
Tungsten producer EQ Resources has officially signed a A$30 million, five-year supply agreement with US-based Elmet Technologies as it posted a new monthly production record from its ramping Barruecopardo operation in Spain.
"Critical mineral security continues to be a top priority globally as the world navigates geopolitical events and a shortage of quality critical mineral deposits," EQ Resources CEO Kevin MacNeill said. "This is why EQR is joined by its key strategic partners and continues to invest in its high-quality tungsten operations in Spain and Australia." The finalised Elmet offtake deal and grant application comes as production from Barruecopardo continues to ramp up.
