Leeds United are privately holding out for a fee of at least £25million before considering selling Everton top target Wilfried Gnonto this summer,It is believed personal terms will not be an issue for the Merseysiders with Gnonto currently earning a small wage at Leeds. confirming the Italy international has not travelled for Saturday’s clash with Birmingham – with the starlet feeling unable to play.
The release claims Gnonto and his representatives have been informed that he will not be leaving the club this summer.that a bid of £25million with a favourable payment structure could soften that stance.It is believed Gnonto’s absence from Leeds’ matchday squads is expected to be an ongoing issue as he pushes for a move away from Elland Road.The youngster’s head has been turned by Everton’s interest following the Whites’ relegation from the Premier League last term.
However, Gnonto is under contract at Elland Road until June 2027 – having only joined the club from FC Zurich last summer . The youngster featured in several attacking roles as he made 28 appearances for Leeds in his first season in English football – scoring four goals and adding four assists.
