Thousands of people have turned out in the city centre to celebrate Pride 2024
Thousands of people gather in the city centre to celebrate Pride 2024. The day began at St. George's Plateau where members and supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community gathered to begin the Pride march which ended at the Pier Head around an hour later. The Pier Head festival has been set up for the weekend, where we will see headliner Katrina perform alongside Kelly Wilde, Kelly Llorenna, and Abel to name a few. They will also be joined by a host of local music artists and DJs.
' Also in attendance, was Becky and Lauren who are both 25 years old, beaming from ear to ear they said: 'We are here to dance!' They also expressed their happiness for the Pier Head festivities, adding: 'It’s great that it’s all here on the Pier Head because everything is right here in one place.' One couple even got engaged during the Pride march after two years together.
