The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University have issued guidance for students interested in the clearing process
Pupils across the country will be finding out their A-level exam results today after two years of hard work. Anticipation, nervousness and even excitement will be building across schools in England with many students hoping their results will let them get into their first-choice university course or apprenticeship.
Therefore, check on the UCAS Hub to see whether you have been accepted at your Firm choice. If not, your insurance choice will then make a decision on your application, so you may have successfully got a place there. However, if you have not been successful in getting a place on either course, then you will be Clearing.
What is the clearing policy at the University of Nottingham? Clearing opened at the University of Nottingham at 8am, and students can now apply for a place on one of their courses. The university says the easiest way to apply is through their online application form here. They have separate forms for UK and international students, with UK students also able to call the Clearing hotline on 0330 041 5590.
If you’re successful, you’ll receive an email from the university confirming the offer, and advice on how to respond to it through UCAS. On the phone, NTU advisors will also ask about any useful professional experience alongside your qualifications. They will explain the entry requirements of each course, and - if they have vacancies available and you have the necessary grades - an advisor will confirm successful applications.
