Evoy & Hurtigruten Expeditions Collaborate To Electrify Tender Boats In Norway
, the new innovative tender boats are designed for excursions from expedition ships in Arctic and Antarctic waters, and in all regions in between the poles.
The electric tenders can carry up to 20 guests, along with scientific & safety-related equipment, for use on landings and carefully planned day trips that enable guests to experience destinations in an intimate and sustainable way. Iain McNeill, SVP Operations at Hurtigruten Expeditions, says: “We are very proud to be the first commercial expedition cruise fleet to offer this ground-breaking technology enabling silent and emission-free excursions with minimal disturbance to local wildlife. It is an innovation collaboration based on our aligned commitment to safety and sustainability.
