HJK Helsinki forward Hassane Bande has revealed he turned down the opportunity to join Manchester United back in 2018, instead choosing to link up with Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
The attacker, who can operate as either a winger or a centre forward, made the decision to join Ajax. A serious injury dented his hopes of progressing in the Netherlands, so much so that he never made a first-team appearance for the Dutch giants. His Ajax career did not work out how he would have hoped and Bande believes the language barrier between himself and Ten Hag was an issue."It was hard to accept . As a new player I wanted to prove myself. I hadn’t even played an official minute yet."
