Ian Poveda has found a new Championship club, having been released by Leeds United at the end of the 2023/24 season
Winger Ian Poveda is itching to get "on the pitch and play for Sunderland" after joining the Championship club on a three-year deal following his Leeds United departure. The 24-year-old, released by the Whites earlier this summer, has become the Black Cats' third summer signing.

He said: “The move came through Stuart Harvey, head of recruitment, and I just feel like the love behind the club, through Kristjaan and Stuart himself, the manager.
"We feel these are qualities that can improve our team and equally, he requires the foundations to develop the next stage of his career. We are confident we can provide that platform and we are delighted to welcome Ian to the club."
