You do not need to claim to get this financial boost
Thousands of people are due to get a financial boost before Christmas . Recipients of certain benefits, including Personal Independence Payment , Disability Living Allowance and Carer's Allowance are eligible for the payment. The amount paid into bank accounts will be £10. The payment is designed to alleviate some of the financial pressures of the festive season.
In order to receive the one-off payment you must live in the UK. Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar during the first full week of December. If you are unsure whether you have received the payment, the DWP have advised to check your bank account and look for 'DWP XB' as it might appear with this code. as it is paid automatically but if you think you should get it, but have not received the payment by January 1, 2025, the DWP suggests contacting Jobcentre Plus office .
