Dates Leeds temperatures could soar to 25-30c
Weather forecasters have estimated the date the UK will start to see 25C heat as an African heat plume brings us into summer.
The Met Office said England and Wales experienced their wettest March since 1981, and Northern Ireland its third wettest March ever recorded. In Devon, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire, the Met office said the dullest March was seen in 110 years, the Express reports. But this weekend in Leeds we're seeing temperatures of 19C and 20C, with mostly clear skies. And forecasters are predicting that's going to continue .
Jim told the Express: "We should hit 25C first before May is out. Then 30C is the next staging post. I think it’s a 50/50 chance for 30C heat during the first 10 days of June, but it is all down to us receiving the necessary sustained airflow from North Africa.
