Some warmer weather is forecast for later in June
The mercury has struggled to rise higher than the mid-teens, with many people taking to social media to say they've had to begrudgingly switch their central heating on. Earlier this week, the Met Office said temperatures will remain below average over the next few days due to a northerly wind drawing air from the Arctic across the UK.
Forecasters at Accuweather also predict some unsettled weather this week, and the week after, but a mini heatwave could be on its way after that. In its long-range predictions, Accuweather has some good news for fans of warmer conditions. The weather is then set to dip a little, with maximum temps of 20C and "a shower in places" on Saturday, June 29. Sunday, June 30, is predicted to be "sunny and partly cloudy" with highs of 21C.
