Arne Slot’s role in Ryan Gravenberch’s stunning Liverpool transformation can be revealed today,The Premier League giants failed to sign Martin Zubimendi during the summer transfer window, which led to the new Liverpool boss backing the 22-year-old Netherlands international instead for the team’s midfield anchorman position.

The midfielder impressed was awarded the man of the match in Liverpool’s recent 2-1 win against Wolves, with no player winning more duels or tackles, while his passing accuracy was above 95 per cent., Gravenberch became the first Premier League midfielder since 2012 to contest more than five duels in a match with a 100 per cent success rate.Liverpool moved to the top of the Premier League on goal difference after Saturday’s victory.
