the accident, which saw a drilling pipe break 50 feet below the seafloor after the drill bit hit a rock and became lodged in a hole drilled by Edge Cable Holdings.

David Gomberg, who initially supported the project and worked to get residents on side, told the paper: “Facebook has been an unfriendly neighbor. These folks now have to be worried about what washes up on their beach for generations.
