Report reveals how school-based officers are working to tackle anti-social behaviour
Falkirk school pupils were banned from a local KFC for abusing staff, police have confirmed, as they highlighted work to tackle anti-social behaviour.
In one instance, Graeme High School pupils were banned from KFC in Falkirk after complaints that included "spitting over tables and abusive behaviour towards staff".School-based officer Constable McNeill, alongside the deputy head teacher, subsequently arranged for those responsible to clean inside and out of KFC for a few periods to make amends.
In May 2023, Falkirk High school based officer, Constable Muir, investigated a report of young people abusing MDMA, commonly known as Ecstacy, which led to an arrest. "This led to the arrest of a young male and submission of appropriate report. There has been a reduction in such incidents and the youth supplier of the drugs is responding well to intervention."Partly funded by Falkirk Council, members firmly supported the money spent on the initiative in this year's budget.
