The ceremony stood to “honor their life of service and reaffirm that we will never ever forget,” as well as to “proclaim that policing is a noble profession,” Gov. Josh Shapiro said in his opening remarks Monday evening. Monday’s ceremony was attended by dozens of state lawmakers and public officials along with hundreds of law enforcement officers and their families from throughout the commonwealth.
