When Mike returned from his deployment, his now-husband didn't want him going to Iraq alone again. So he joined the Marines, too. The two served together under Don't Ask Don't Tell. 'We are what we are because of our insistence on being with one another.'
Mike Rudulph was 20 years old when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He served during the era of Don't Ask Don't Tell, deploying to Iraq in 2003. Soon after he returned home from his first deployment, he logged onto the internet and met Neil Rafferty.
"And we laid in the back of the truck and looked at the stars," Rudulph said."I'd fallen in love with you. You had fallen in love with me. I mean, this is perfect." Until its repeal in 2010, the military's Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy banned LGBTQ people from serving openly in the armed forces. So when Rudulph was in Iraq, Rafferty would send him letters and sign them as"Lisa," just in case they were ever found.
"And we got through it with only a few people catching wind of it," Rudulph said. He left the Marine Corps after that.

Eric Trump Tapes Karaoke Machine To Don Jr.’s Chest As Part Of Final Preparations To Spy On ChinaWASHINGTON—After frantically wrapping the electrical cord around his brother’s pant leg, Eric Trump reportedly taped a karaoke machine to Don Jr.’s chest Friday as part of their final preparations to spy on China. “Once we break into China, we’re gonna trick them into saying their spy secrets right into this microfoam [sic] and then they’ll be in big trouble with President Dad,” said Eric, who plugged in the last of six orange extension cords that would connect the portable Singstation XL karaoke system to an outlet in the State Dining Room and then began to walk down the basement stairs toward China. “We don’t want to miss any of their evil plans, so when they start talking I’ll record them on the machine and you try to ’member what they’re saying with your thinker. Then, once we’ve heard enough, that’s when you blind them by turning on the disco lights and I’ll start singing ‘Sweep Home Alabama [sic]’ as loud as I can. Whatever you do, don’t drop the karaoke machine or Ivanka will kill us.” At press time, White House staff discovered Don Jr. unconscious after he tried to run away from the microphone cord that had accidentally wrapped around his neck.
