Charged in a 22-count indictment were owner Doreen Acciardi, her husband Anthony Acciardi Sr., their children Anthony Acciardi Jr., Stephen Acciardi and Angela Mancini, as well as three other alleged conspirators – Jason Portes, Jeanine Nichols and Jennifer Hecker. All eight defendants rejected the deal in Middlesex County Superior Court, attorney Jeffrey A. Bronster said. Certain charges in the indictment could carry a prison sentence of up to 20 years, Bronster said.
