A restaurant boss has been left "devastated" after a family of eight ordered the "most expensive things on the menu" and then did a runner without paying the £329 bill.
The restaurant took to Facebook to shame the family, sharing CCTV stills and footage. They branded the family's actions as "disgusting" and claimed they used a fake phone number to book before acting out a failed credit card ruse when it came time to pay.
"So we had no choice but to report it to the police. To do this to anyone is disgusting but to do this to a newly open restaurant is even worse!" One said: “Despicable. Jail them. What an example to set your children. Vile." While another labeled the adults as the “lowest of the low," with one adding: “hope they get caught”.
