Man fatally shot while driving on East Side highway
A man was fatally shot in a vehicle-to-vehicle, drive-by shooting while he was driving along Interstate 35 South near the San Antonio Military Medical Center on the East Side.
Officers were alerted to the shooting about 4:30 p.m. on Interstate 35 just south of Binz Engleman Road, said Sgt. Washington Moscoso of the San Antonio Police Department. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene before police and began treating the man, in his 20s, who was shot at least once. Police said the man was shot while he was driving south on the highway. He then crashed into a vehicle and struck the center median before he veered right and collided with a tree on the side of the highway where his vehicle came to a rest, Moscoso said.
