FBI agents seen at home of NYC Mayor Adams' key fundraiser in reported raid
FBI agents were seen outside the home of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ top fundraiser, Brianna Suggs, in Brooklyn Thursday morning, according to footage and neighbors. The New York Times, citing sources, istried to buy political influence with concealed donations that tapped into the city’s generous matching funds program. It’s unclear if the FBI’s investigation is at all related to that or to the mayor.
A call to Suggs' office was immediately disconnected. A second call was sent straight to voicemail. Suggs did not immediately respond to an email or messages sent on LinkedIn and Instagram.“I woke up to the FBI. I saw the FBI on the block and it was really scary,” said neighbor Christopher Burwell. A reporter viewed cell phone footage of the raid where several FBI agents in bureau vests entered the home and carried boxes out.
Suggs and her Brooklyn-based company, Suggs Solutions LLC, received $149,798 in wages, consultant payments and advance repayments from Adams’ mayoral campaign since 2021, according to city campaign finance records.
