HOUSTON - A litter of kittens were rescued after being accidently buried alive at an apartment complex on Houston's North Side. Houston Fire Department was called out around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday to the Rockridge Station Apartments off Greens Road near Wayforest Drive. Fire officials said that a crew was working in the pool area of the apartment complex for days and had dug a hole. At some point, a mother cat went into the hole and had kittens. When the repair crew came back, they poured concrete to cover up the hole, which they didn't know had the kittens inside. All were rescued and are in the care of Harris County Animal Control.
