The hunt for 65-year-old Nashir Ahmed's attacker remains ongoing.

The devastated family of a man who died after being attacked at a Scots bus stop have paid tribute to their "loving husband and father".

Mr Ahmed, however, sadly died in hospital five days later. The other victim, 48, was treated for serious injuries to his face and leg and was later discharged.In a statement released through Police Scotland, Mr Ahmed's family said of him: “Nashir was a loving husband and father. He was a big part of our family and we are devastated at losing him.

Meanwhile, officers are currently treating the 65-year-old's death as murder. The hunt for his attacker remains ongoing. Detective Chief Inspector George Calder said: “A family has been left feeling bereft as they come to terms with losing someone so integral to their lives. The circumstances are heartbreaking, and I can’t possibly imagine the pain they are feeling during these difficult times.
