Jason Gibbon, 37, died when he was involved in a motorbike crash which also claimed the lives of Andrew Lartey, 29, and his girlfriend Georgia Tate, 23.
Jason Gibbon, 37, from Northumberland, was riding his Suzuki GSXR between Bonchester Bridge and Carter Bar when he was involved in a collision with a Kawasaki ZX1400 motorbike on Sunday, July 28.A statement released through Police Scotland said: "We are devastated of the loss of a much-loved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend and devoted friend to many. He will be greatly, sadly missed. We are comforted by the messages from many.
He wrote: "It is with profound sadness and deep regret that I announce the passing of my son and frontman of The Straits UK. Andrew was tragically taken from us, along with his girlfriend Georgia, on Sunday afternoon following a motorcycle accident on the Scottish Borders. "If you were in the area at the time and have information, including dash-cam, that could assist with our investigation then please make contact with us.”
Emergency services raced to the collision on the A83 at the Kilmory Roundabout in Lochgilphead after receiving the alarm at 2.45pm. Police attended and Candice, known as Candy, who had been riding with three other motorcyclists, was pronounced dead at the scene
