Castlefield Basin, Manchester With its imposing bridges Castlefield Basin harks back to Manchester’s industrial heritage. Follow the canal east and you’ll see the city from a different perspective, or head west watch as the skyline opens up towards Salford. Alternatively ditch the walk altogether and enjoy a drink at the Wharf instead.
