Thursday’s statewide slate has more than 70 games because of Rosh Hashanah falling on Friday, and we’re streaming two of those games. West Orange is visiting NJ.com’s No. 10 team in Passaic Tech at 6 p.m. in Wayne and Wayne Valley will travel to West Essex for a 6:30 kickoff in North Caldwell. The Bulldogs are 9-1 against West Orange all-time and Wayne Valley won its meeting versus West Essex in 2022.
On Friday, one of N.J.’s hottest teams in No. 11 Pope John is going across the Hudson River to challenge Cardinal Hayes in the Bronx at 7 p.m. The Lions won a 40-36 thriller in this matchup last fall.No. 16 St. Peter’s Prep is looking to get in the win column in Morristown versus No. 8 Delbarton, No. 3 DePaul seeks revenge in White Plains against Archbishop Stepinac at 1:30, and No. 12 Paramus Catholic takes on Chaminade on Long Island at 1:30.
