A dad will wear a 10kg weighted vest when he takes on the Great Scottish Run half marathon on Sunday.

The condition is a rare type of Motor Neurone Disease but its prevalence remains unknown.READ MORE: Police race to Ibrox Stadium following 'disturbance' after Rangers game
"Doctors thought that she was just a bit slow to reach the milestones. My wife knew it was a muscular type issue because of the way she was sitting. It took a long time but she was over a year old by the time she got the diagnosis. When someone tells you that they don't expect your child to walk it is horrible to hear but people do go through a lot worse.
Cameron said: "She receives a lot of physio to help her. Amber is starting to push herself up but she isn't crawling yet, she is almost army crawling now. Her life has just been her lying down on the floor. Those at the Pack Performance gym in Paisley have supported Cameron as he prepared for the difficult feat.
Despite being diagnosed with the life-limiting condition, Amber continues to be a bright light in her family's life. She will also act as Cameron's motivation as he runs the 21km.
