Coming out of Naples High School in 2023, Augustave was a four-star recruit who had 23 scholarship offers. He was rated as a top-15 running back in the 2023 class by 247Sports and chose Arkansas over Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, Utah and others. Earlier this week, CU also got a verbal commitment from long snapper Kameron Hawkins, a transfer from Arizona who will be a preferred walk-on with the Buffs. The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Hawkins has two years of eligibility remaining. He appeared in three games during his four seasons with the Wildcats.
