A neighbouring day centre which helps people with additional support needs has asked Glasgow City Council about buying the land.
The site of a former Drumchapel pub could be sold by the council to a day centre with plans for a sensory garden.
Council officials have reported the owner intends to build a new centre on their current site at Dunkenny Road. They are recommending councillors approve the principle of a sale when they meet on Thursday. Officials said the Hecla Square site was “previously occupied by a public house which has since been demolished”, leaving a “rectangular area of vacant brownfield land”.
