Sean Dawkins, who played five seasons with the Indianapolis Colts in the 1990s, has died, according to team owner Jim Irsay.

The Colts selected Dawkins 16th overall in the 1993 NFL Draft. Dawkins caught 251 passes and registered 3,511 yards, 12 touchdowns in 69 career games as a Colt. After his time in Indianapolis came to a close in 1997, Dawkins went on to play a season with the New Orleans Saints before signing with the Seattle Seahawks. He spent two seasons in Seattle and played his final season with the Jacksonville Jaguars.For his career, Dawkins caught 445 passes and 25 touchdowns in the regular season. Dawkins played in five career playoff games, including three in 1995 for the Colts.
